Celebrating 90 years in Aurora, AFCC located at the corner of 1601 Dayton St. was founded in 1924 and rebuilt following the fire in 1958. Over the decades this church has changed but persists as a welcoming presence in the community. If you'd like to learn more, our History is archived in the Library. Worship ServiceAFCC's Sunday morning worship is a traditional service, with prayer, singing, scripture, sermon, and communion. We wish to welcome anyone to participate in our service. The attire is "come as you are", communion is open to everyone, and offering is not required. ABOUT THE SERVICE: The program bulletin and song books for each worship service are distributed and available in the narthex prior to entering the Sanctuary. Within the service bulletin, you will find the order of service, the scriptures, as well as the prayer lists, and birthday announcements on the back. If you are interested in the upcoming Lectionary(scriptures) for the month, these are available in the latest Evangel Newsletter, feel free to request a copy. The music during our services is most often led by an Allen Electric Organ, with a rich vibrant sound. Although you may find moments in our service where we stand to sing, you are not required to stand, as we respect those who decline as well as those who are unable. |
